Commonly used as a lighting scheme in highly-stylized, neo-noir action adventure film and television like Jessica Jones on Netflix, Atomic Blonde, or John Wick.

Thought our inclination is to associate the color with modern, futuristic spaces, ultra-violet also has a softer, romantic, regal side.

In more traditional styling, ultra violet is frequently featured in floral bouquets or in homes as silky and soft textiles: like the rug in our traditional dining room or the lush bedding in a master bedroom.

The purpose of the Pantone color of the Year is to be used as a jumping off point to create original palettes you may not have ever thought of using previously, rather than just using the color in its purest form.

We’ve utilized violet in combinations with oranges and greens and blues.
