Lamps Plus Press Tour
For the second year in a row, I packed my bags and headed to the big apple with my friends at Lamps Plus. Together we met with press from all the major shelter publications in NYC, like Architectural Digest, HGTV, and more and explored the beautiful city in between meetings. Eat, Sleep, Be Well! – That was the theme of this NYC trip. From restaurants to boutique hotels, wellness centers, lifestyle and design inspiration was everywhere! Here’s a recap of all of our new favorite finds in the city:
Unique Eats in NYC
Cosme Dinner with Lamps Plus!
Starting at the end: Our trip concluded with a fabulous dinner hosted by Lamps Plus at chic Flatiron District restaurant, Cosme. Course after course, we shared incredible seafood and traditional Mexican dishes with a twist over wine and cocktails. (and the mole was to die for!)
TBar
An excellent old-school Upper East Side brunch spot, with an aesthetically modern twist: TBar boasts a diverse menu with incredible service and a bright, happy design aesthetic: Lime green and orange wall tiles and accents and lots of natural sunlight.
The Best Boutique Hotels in NYC for Design Lovers
Times Square Edition
Electric green and shabby chic accents give this contemporary hotel its boutique feel in the middle of bustling Times Square. It’s exactly the kind of respite you need from the city’s most high energy, touristy neighborhood.

One Brooklyn
An eco hotel just over the Brooklyn Bridge, the One hotel is where last year’s In Goop Health conference was hosted! Here you’ll find the best views of the Manhattan skyline from their gorgeous rooftop. It’s a hop skip and a jump away from Soho House Dumbo and more shopping lining charming cobblestone streets.

Wellness Retreat in NYC
Team Lori Dennis got our zen on at Inscape, NYC’s premier meditation center. From the second you walk through their doors you’re engulfed by a sense of calm. You session begins with a drop of CBD tincture under the tongue. Then you make your way into one of their meditation rooms, either The Dome or The Alcove. Once you’re relaxed on one of the mats your ‘facilitator’ eases you into a guided meditation. When in one of the busiest rat-racing cities in the world, a midday break to recenter and meditate is a necessity!
